Welcome to artfractals.com!
In the 70's fractals were a mathematical and visual oddity. Grouped together with the aging psychedelic-genre, mainstream and sophisticated art connoisseurs alike quickly dismissed the gaudy-colored patterns as inconsequential and really not all that attractive, anyway. Since then, fractals have emerged as one of the most powerful and versatile tools in not only visual art, but in the modeling and understanding of natural and chaotic systems in all fields of discipline. Our understanding of the fractal has matured, and with it our appreciation and application of them—fractals have become both an indispensable tool and art form of their own. Fractals are everywhere around us. Sea shells are fractals. Trees, plants, clouds, and even complex terrain can be realistically represented using fractals. Fractals are used to simulate the real world and do an amazing job creating complex, life-like structures that we would be hard pressed to manually draw or build.

What People Are Saying:
 | instantly i thought of aftermath of a relationship that everyone dreams of having and very few are fortunate enough to have and for reason unknown slowly lose by means of, in my case, occassional mind alteration to an addiction that drove the other slowly away. there were mature discussion concerning the issue expressing concerns and the relationship we had that most never even come close to experiencing. I failed myself, her, both families, and to top it off what i thought were 3 friends of 20plus years total and not to mention several times i risk their friendship when they were taken advantage of by others and telling them what was really going on. The rellow-face-mask, to me and my personal struggle, is the first and only visual that i could show one if they ask for a picture of how my heart and soul have felt the past 36 months. i randomly chose a number, then click to enlarge the ultrafractal and glad i did because things happen for reason and i feel some closure knowing i can actually put a visual to the suffering I put myself through. I am thankful for this fractal but did not mean to put negative impression of the fractal.
thank you. I would like to inquire about a print that i could frame as a reminder of how i never want to feel again. ah, another step towards my personal closure.
thankful, grateful, red posted by red
